Fall Season Kick Off

Ellensburg, WA – As the leaves start to change and the weather cools down, Ellensburg Youth Rugby is gearing up for another action-packed season. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the sport, we have something for everyone this fall. From non-contact Flag Rugby for the little ones to competitive matches for high school athletes, our programs are designed to provide fun, fitness, and camaraderie for players of all ages and skill levels.

Program Highlights for Fall 2024

1. Flag Rugby Non-Contact (Ages 5-10)Our Flag Rugby program is perfect for young athletes who want to learn the basics of rugby in a non-contact environment. This fall, we’re offering a special "TRY RUGBY" session for beginners, free for the first 4 weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity for children who have never played rugby before to get a taste of the game.

  • TRY RUGBY: Free 4-week session.
  • Full Year Registration: $100, covering the 2024-2025 academic year, including fall and spring sessions.
  • What's Included: Both Fall & Spring Registrations, 2024-2025 Club Dues, USA Rugby membership, Rugby Washington fees, shorts, socks, and a training top.

2. U12 Co-Ed Rugby (Ages 10-12)Our U12 program is a co-ed offering that introduces young players to Rugby Sevens, the Olympic version of the sport. This fast-paced format is both fun to play and exciting to watch. The season includes three match weekends in September and October.

  • Key Dates: September 28th, October 12th, October 19th.
  • Registration Cost: $150 for the full year.
  • What's Included: Both Fall & Spring Registrations, 2024-2025 Club Dues, USA Rugby membership, Rugby Washington fees, shorts, socks, and a training top.

3. U14 Middle School Boys Rugby (Grades 7-8)Our U14 boys program focuses on Rugby Sevens, with a season that kicks off on September 9th. The team will participate in development camps and competitive tournaments throughout the fall.

  • Key Dates: September 28th, October 12th, October 19th.
  • Registration Cost: $150 for the full year.
  • What's Included: Both Fall & Spring Registrations, 2024-2025 Club Dues, USA Rugby membership, Rugby Washington fees, shorts, socks, and a training top.

4. U15 & High School Girls Rugby (Grades 7-12)For girls in grades 7-12, we offer both U15 and High School teams, competing in the Olympic 7s format. The season kicks off on September 9th and includes specialized development camps focused on attack and defense systems.

  • Key Dates: Three tournament weekends in October, concluding on October 19th.
  • Registration Cost: U15 - $150, High School - $175 for the full year.
  • What's Included: Both Fall & Spring Registrations, 2024-2025 Club Dues, USA Rugby membership, Rugby Washington fees, shorts, socks, and a training top.

5. High School Boys Rugby (Grades 9-12)Our High School Boys program offers a traditional 15-a-side rugby experience, with weekly matches during the Winter/Spring season. This fall, players can participate in two free "TRY RUGBY" development camps in October.

  • TRY RUGBY Development Camps: October 13th & 20th.
  • Additional Training: Registered players can develop their skills at our facilities on Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM, starting September 9th through October 17th.
  • Registration Cost: $175 for the full year.
  • What's Included: Both Fall & Spring Registrations, 2024-2025 Club Dues, USA Rugby membership, Rugby Washington fees, shorts, socks, and a training top.

What’s New This Year?

Speed & Agility Skills Sessions for High School Boys & Girls Starting in January 2025, we’re introducing Speed & Agility Skills Sessions for both High School Boys and Girls. These sessions will be held twice a week in the evening and are designed to help athletes improve their quickness, agility, and overall performance on the field. Stay tuned for more details!
